I'm amazed to see that GE owns NBC. I never realized how powerful that company was!

Yes! AND .. RCA! I never knew that either .. GE makes everything from equipment for nuclear power plants,
to the stuff they use to clean up a nuclear power plant after a melt down lol!
And all that for only 6.3 billion? Someone has to help me understand why GE pays NO taxes,
and instead, receives federal funding by the millions every year?

I assume due to their involvement in power production. Without power, this country stops!

Understandable, rightfully so as well. Nevertheless, to not have to pay AND be funded,
hmm, somethings wrong with that picture. I mean, afterall .. you're suppling this country,
if not most of the entire modern world with goods!
Crikey! Is not almost a Hundred Billion dollars in 1997 not enough?
What is it today? Over 200 Billion? Oops, I should look that up ..

You guys never watched 30Rock? GE owning NBC was mentioned repeatedly throughout i think the first 4 seasons when Jack said he was originally from the miccrowave devision.
