This is what a 100% legal Skyline GT-R looks like (and costs!)

    http://rover.ebay.com/rover/1/711-53...mtid=824&kw=lg

    $48,000!
But 635hp, and it looks damn near stock.
This is the first time I've seen a fully-legal Skyline that actually showed the VIN and such. That's pretty cool.

Even though they're eclipsed by cars today, I still kinda want one. Someday. Not this one, sadly

Very nice! Is it sad that it upsets me none of those people in the picture seem to care what's sitting so close by? And, I need to move to cali....screw Va!

Really? The link still works for me...

eBay has a problem with Skylines. You'd think one that shows the VIN and such would be allowed, at least.

I've seen a few of these in Cali, All 100% legal and cost around $30-$50k for them. One day I'll get one, by the time I get old enough to have the money and pay for I surname the R33 & R34 probably will be legal by then haha nice find Deev

2014, the R32 will be legal in the US. Well, 1989 will be, anyway.
I have a feeling this country will be flooded with beat up R32s in the next few years. All the guys that imported them to Canada and then beat on them are probably sick of them now, and ready to make a quick buck selling them for WAY more than they're worth to some drooling fool in the US!

Still 100% illegal.. I could get a skyline, reg it, get a vin plate, etc in my state no problem... Doesn't mean it is legal, just means someone in the state was unaware/let it slide... INB4 feds.

Wait there is a discrepency from the description on the listing. It states that the car is a 1970 Skyline when on the vin tag that is plasterd on the vehicle states that it is a 1992 Skyline typo???

Deev the car is nice If I had the money I would buy you one along with a warrantee just incase if it breaks down so you would stop it already lol. Man I think noone deserves this car more than you because you follow and talk about it all the time spoken like a true enthusiast.

I would get one but id probably turn out to be a bit more cockier than I am now lol. I thnk the evo will suit me just fine I dont even want to know how much the parts for that car costs compared to mine.

Because you can't list a car without a 17 digit vin on ebay unless it from before 1980 when they didn't require 17 digit vins.

It's possible for you to be cockier, Mike?

I don't think Ebay allows you to list a newer Skyline, so they use older model years that would be legal to sell in the US. There was another listing that had it as 1980 (also said GTR, and it was a GTS-T).

I think this one is actually legit. I know there are some that ARE legal, and they had gone through all the proper legalization processes before the government decided not to allow it anymore. Those that were done properly according to the government regulations were grandfathered in once the ban was set in place.

And for a pristine-looking GT-R, one of TEN legally registered in this country, with a built engine making over 600whp... I'd say that's well worth the asking price! Would I pay it? Probably not. Certainly not now... I owe less than that on my house! But I think it's worth it. It would cost nearly that much to import and legalize a stock R32 GTR anyway, if it were possible anymore. I looked into doing it, and the price got damn near 40,000 almost 10 years ago (and only 10k of that was the car!)
