    Waste of a 68 Camaro?

    http://autos.yahoo.com/blogs/motoram...ml?cache=clear

Four guys split this car right down the middle with a color scheme different on both sides. I think its name is befitting after what they did to it.

i especially like the part where it said that they used parts from two different brake systems so it doesn't drive very well. At least it's not going to be on the road, i think they said it was really just for demos and car shows or something.

For the purpose, I think it's kinda cool... though I don't see the red side as being a shoddy job. At least not from the pictures.

They didn't really ruin it. It could be returned to its former glory easily enough!

Their efforts managed to get the car posted on a car forum, so they're doing something right!

The car was totaled, and they kinda' restored it.

It's not like they took a Camaro in good condition and did this.

I agree it's stupid, but it's far better than going to the crusher.

I especially like the detail given to the engine bay. They did a great job. It's unique for the purpose, and for the purpose intended, I think it's worth applauding their efforts.

I really hope it's never driven on public roads like that.

It has bias ply tires on one side and radials on the other!!

State Farm is just like every other insurance company. They put up this big front that they use only OEM parts and demand proper repair procedures. Great for the customer, but what the customer does not know is that they undercut the repair shops so badly it's rediculous. They are always threatening body shops that they'll drop them from the direct repair program if the shop charges for extra procedures. For example, if you have a large dent in your quarter panel, and I need to remove the interior trunk lining to work it out, they won't wanna pay for that extra labor. It's stupid things like that with State Farm that really bother technicians trying to make a living off of each operation they perform. Don't get me wrong, they're one of the better companies, but when they expect things for free, I'm sure some technicians just don't do half the stuff that's charged to make up for it. There's worse companies out there... /rant... lol

They didn't split the engine fan. It's solid black.

I really like the idea of what they done. It'd be funny to do this with a CB. Have one side be what a lot of people do to a CB7 (funny wheels and rattle canned flat black or something) and the other side clean.

Can't say I like it. I do understand the purpose and the intent but honestly? Not something I would have done to that 68'

Wonder if they split the tubing on the exhaust if it's modified?
