    I knew this day would come

    I'll verify in the morning, but I'm fairly confident my trans blew.
    I spent all morning reconditioning my passenger side axle (boots). Finished up and parked.
    A few hours later I got in and went off to work. Got to a stop sign about halfway down my block, started back up and it jolted and stopped accelerating.
    I tried going into different gears, nothing except for park, where I can hear a very audible grinding. (Parking pawl I think).
    I pushed it back into my yard where it currently sits. I'll know more tomorrow. I'm thinking 5 speed. My local junkyard quoted me at $250 for a 5 speed.
    I'm going to see if I can get the rest and keep the total around $300.

    check the local members for a used Accord tranny because they swapped to an H or something. I got a sweet as deal a few years back for a rebuilt H2U5 because his dad wanted it out of the garage so i ended up paying only $40 bucks. The thing shifts like it's been lubed with butter, astroglide and KY Jelly.

      Not a bad idea. I'll make a thread over yonder and see what I can come up with.

        Jk everyone. I didn't put my axle back in. Open diff = spinning wheel with no resistance. Ie no axle wheel. Beside the wheel studs I destroyed being lazy, all is well.
