I guess they had a warrant. If I had been sober I would've emerged from the shadows and begun harassing them until they released him or showed it to me.

Instead, I hid until they had left. I didn't think of the harassing idea until after, but I still feel I should've done something to stop it.


What should I do now? I've already made it back to my house. Should I call the jails in the morning?

Don't they have bondsmen in your neck of the woods? Over here if someone gets arrested, you call the jail, find out his bail, call a bondsman, then meet the bondsman at the jail.

Yes. Just ask how much his bond is, make sure you know the cost. Most Jails deal cash only also.

Then call a bondsman, give him your friends name, and they can generally do the rest.

Call around. Figure out where your buddy is. Ask how much his bond is. Call a trustworthy sober friend, go get him.
