Can you switch back from timeline?

I haven't switched yet, but every time I look at my profile it advertises it across the top of my profile.
It looks like you can switch back because of:
When I see it sometimes it will say "herp, derp, and 94 other friends switched to timeline."
Sometimes, it will say "herp, derp, and 103 other friends switched to timeline".

My friend count isn't changing, so why is this counter changing?

I haven't found a way to switch back from the timeline.. if I remember correctly Facebook is forcing the timeline on march 30th.

I hate timeline. There's no way to switch back and I think it's going to change fully to timeline March 30th. If Facebook keeps it up, I'm going to become less and less active on it. I've already been considering deleting my account but decided against it so friends and family can be updated about my life. As FB becomes more and more cumbersome, fewer and fewer people will use it.

No switch and yes you are going to be forced into it as well.

Being the admin/owner of three Facebook pages for companies, I like a few of the features, but still hate it with a passion.

You'll get used to it. I barely remember what facebook used to look like when I joined 5 years ago.

I'm sorry for the confusion. When I was typing that I put out a lot of typos as well. Brain fart I guess.

First it said 103 friends, now it says 94. It moves up and down.

Also, I'm pretty sure if you use very old browsers, like IE 6, it will force it back to normal.

Edit: back up to 100. I'm sure it will change later today.

^this, I have tons of family in California, and Boston. If the timeline is forced on the 30th ill probably be less active like you mentioned

Be cool if the timeline wasn't divided like it is (right and left columns). Other than that I agree with everyone else.

The support facebook provides is annoying and limited. I've been trying to get a group feature to actually function properly for months.

Timeline looks terrible. Can't find anything, seems to spread stuff randomly around the page. I hardly use facebook anymore anyways, except for the IM feature since its connected to my outside IM clients

If you think about it, the book of Face has been through several major changes since its inception.

Every single time a new one comes out, everyone always complains and protests the switch over.
But, at the end of the day, I can't recall or remember any of the previous platforms; I'd be kind of surprised if any of you can. Is what it is, you'll get used to it.

But you do have a point. The initial change is a PITA, but then it get's better once they introduce new features.

It seems like it would be nice, simply because I could add in life events. I'm just afraid of change I guess.
