    I derped hardcore

So tomorrow i'm taking a 2.5 hour trip somewhere. I decided to check the fluids since the heat was not getting quite warm ( this is my brothers car by the way )

So i go outside and check the coolant and sure enough its low. I go get out the jug and fill it up. I decide i might as well check all the fluids just to be safe, since its windy i set the coolant jug between the radiator and header so it doesn't blow away in the wind. I check the other fluids and do my stuff. I hop in the car and drive to go get some food. The whole way there i smell light burning, the car leaks oil out the valve cover ( the reason i have his car is to fix this ) so i just ignored it. Well about half way home i start to notice it gotten a lot worse, finally it hits me.... the smell isn't oil its clearly plastic... THE JUG IS STILL UNDER THE HOOD LOLOLOLOL

smoke is pouring out from under the hood finally and it just smells horrible.

    >mfw i realize what i've done

I pull over right away ( obviously... ) and this is what i find

    Thanks for reading

As soon as I read "coolant" and "hopped in the car" I knew what was up.

I was thinking that, i don't think the heat alone would have combusted it.

No. You created the thread. You are OP.
If you had been the first reply, you would've been first.
While the forum recognizes your post as 1, you are not first. The forum doesn't understand.

The header had to come off at some point for something. When it came off all 3 bolts broke.

I actually am going to fix that soon, i'm installing the a/c system from my brown sedan into it and i don't want it to damage the lines.
