    I wish I had a wagon

So as part of my fraternity we sometimes have to sober d a couple nights a week to make sure everyone gets around safely. You volunteer a couple hours and taxi people around for the night.

The first time I did was during a major party and I thought it would be cool to get paid to drive my car for a few hours, listen to music and maybe have some ladies in the car haha.

Well it wasn't what I expected. So many calls for at least 5-6 people every time. One call was for 7 ladies that I had to squeeze in my coupe! 6 in the back sitting on laps and one lucky lady in the front who was pretty belligerent. The whole time I was driving like an old lady so these girls wouldn't throw up in my car!

Then last night I did it and again I had to fit 7 people in my coupe. This time it wasn't 7 skinny (and pretty) ladies, it was 3 of the biggest brothers I have, 2 others who supermanned across them in the back seat and one more riding shotgun with a lady on his lap.

My auto seatbelt was disconnected those nights for convenience.

So I wish I had a wagon so people didn't have to climb in and out of my back seat when I choose to put it down. People may have complained about the size of my car, but no one complained about comfort (surprisingly) or the atmosphere, which is my main goal with passengers (besides their safety).

How many people have you fit in your cars? Highest number gets a prize.

I fit 9 people, including myself, into a '61 Beetle with rusty floor plans. It was on a 4th of July night a few years ago. One of the passengers was an offensive lineman for Texas A&M at the time.

But from an intelligent point of view, you're right to want an alternative to your coupe. You're simply substituting one unsafe behavior for another. In the meantime just drive whom you can. In a CB, that's 4 passengers not including yourself.

A wagon doesn't have any more seating than a sedan, unless you want people sitting in the cargo area.

Just get yourself one of these:
          MRT
37.5 MPG, AC on, cruising at 80.
30.0 MPG, AC on, aggressively driving around 90.
27.5 MPG, no AC, cruising at 90 with occasional gridlock. 40 degrees Fahrenheit

Lots of DIY videos specifically for our car

Get some awesome wipers! <-- It's a DIY

Haha cool stories. That many people in a beetle? Putting people in the trunk?!? haha wow.

Sorry if people think I seriously want a wagon though. I would just prefer one whenever I have to sober drive, I don't plan on owning one ever haha. When I have 1-2 people in my car... perfect. Any more than that and it's a pain for everyone.

And yea, if I did have a wagon I would utilize that rear for sure. I sober drove in an explorer once. I think it was 13-14 people? Not sure since randoms always climb in the trunk and I can never get a clear head count.

3 rows of Full Size seating, plus a trunk. Useless for everyday things. Excellent for moving shit.

What are you referring to? The Explorer or the Suburban? You're statement applies to both.

I've only been in one and it looked like a tight fit for the one guy driving it.

So when you get a ticket for too many occupants, who pays that?

I wouldn't risk damage and stuff to my own car for volunteer work like that. That's bullshit.

I can put twelve people in my van - each with their own seat belt. My wife want the 15 passenger version!

I actually had an idea like that for a business. My friend's dad had a old school bus that he bought and partly fixed up. I tossed the idea at him that if he finishes it and makes the bus look nice he could probably make a grand easy on the weekend just shuttling women around on a pub crawl. He ended up junking the bus...

Therein lies the fun of being as careful as possible to not do anything to get you pulled over for any reason. And I meant volunteer time as in take turns doing it. We do get paid for our services.

Something to invest in. A frat bus to haul people around on party nights. Haha too bad he junked it, could have been a nice cheap alternative to party buses.
