are these parts suppose to be connected?

not really sure what this is, its under that vacuum box and charcoal canister? to the right....saw it when i was taking off the intake never noticed it before, i thought maybe something transmission related? looked at the chilton? manual link in the diy section but found no diagrams with this thing, not sure if i should put the loop on the pin, car was working without them connected all this time

That is the water valve for your temperature control. That cable loop is connected to the temp control on the dash. I'm guessing that the valve must be in the open position or you would be complaining about not having any heat.

i believe that cable is to control your heat/ac temperature. if you slide/turn the knob from hot to about half you probably dont feel any tension due to that

EDIT- you beat me to it Ghost lol

definitely connect that loop onto the pin, so you can control Hot/Cold for your AC, though i doubt you will use the Cold much before summer.

Connect it. It may solve your heating issue. However it will not solve your A/C issue. that is a separate system.

Taking a shit in the fridge gets noticed way faster than taking a shit in the toilet.

I think I'll just delete every section and people can post everything in OT.
