    Quick remote desktop connection question

I need to order something off of a website that I can't visit at school.
Meaning, I can visit it, but I'm sure it's against a bunch of policies. Because of the timing of the order, it has to happen soon. So pretty much now.

My phone is giving me issues so I can't use it's wifi. Here's my solution:
Remote into my house and use the computers there to access the internet.

If I do that, is there anyway the school could see what I'm doing?
I'm not sure which version of RDP I'm using. I think it's 5

Edit: Actually I think version 7 or 7.1, based off this:

Fixed it by way of: Just used my phone.

I didn't want to chance it. I would still like an answer. I'm on an open network here and vulnerable to a man in the middle attack.

The school most likely blocks port 3389 (<- default RDP port). If you could connect they would have a record of you connecting to your home PC. I would assume that RD'ing home is against school policy also. But any connections you make from a school connection is kept in a log.

Personally I'd make the deal through a non-school wifi AP.

Meh I did that shit all the time at work and school. Mainly to waste time on facebook. All they are going to see is RD session packets, since with RD you are just viewing the remote computer and controlling it. Unless they have a program in the classroom that can view your screen on the classroom station.
