    Law question.

I have a spare set of tires I want to get rid of and whats a better way to get rid of tires than burning them off? I know this isn't good for my drive train, but I figure, the quicker the f goes, the quicker I can get and h22 in . I live in a apartment complex type thing and wanted to know if I can get in trouble with the cops if I was to burnout in the parking lot? There isn't many cars parked there at any time, maybe 6 of the 20 available are being used, so me dangering another car or person isn't a big issue.

Here is a pic circling where the burnout would be done. I believe it is a private parking lot, but I don't know if I would get in trouble for burning rubber there.

Because I want to do a burnout haha I knew this was going to be brought up. Yes, I'm young and stupid. I just want to have a little fun while the race track is closed for winter.

My suggestion... Go to a empty lot away from everywhere and do it there.. Not where you live... You don't want to piss off your neighbors.. Go to the lot, do what you want to do and leave the area..

Haha gonna have to go lot hunting. Where I live, the only places safe to do this are on main roads! All the side roads are like 15+ years old and just plain old suck! Might have to go to walmart late at night

Be smart. Take them to a tire shop, and pay the $3 disposal fee. Period.

                    reckless endangerment, destruction of property.

Yes, the cops can give you tickets for putting yourself in danger.

Reckless driving too. If the car is running and you are in the drivers seat you are driving, even if you aren't moving at that moment

Pollution/dumping ticket. Dumping trash on private property. I think the fine here is $600 per offense. Just spend the $12 or so (max rate).

Unless you own the parking lot, then yes you will get in trouble.

I was just going to say that.

Actually, when I get really paranoid, I'll go to an industrial park about 45 minutes from my house. I used to live there, so I know the area really well. No cars (successful park, eh?), only an occasional semi. It's good for all sorts of automotive debauchery.

Edit: IIRC, there's actually a Lingenfelter building back there. http://www.lingenfelter.com/
