He stepped down as the CEO of Apple about a month ago. He knew he was sick. I didn't think it'd be over this quick, though. Someone with that much money surely would have been able to afford the best medical treatment. I haven't read today's story, but I believe it was cancer, correct? Most cancer is treatable with early detection. Perhaps he was like me... He had pancreatic cancer. Which started in 2005 I believe.
