    10" screen?

Does anyone use a 10" netbook on a day to day basis? Do you brows sites with it?

It's my biggest hesitation at this point. I want super battery live and portability so I'll have to get used to it I think. Just wondering how people felt while adapting.

I used to have a Dell mini 10. It was pretty handy to have, but not having a 10 key on the keyboard drove me nuts. I ended up trading it for an Ipod touch. A lot of the little one's I've seen don't have CD drives so I'd make sure it does before buying one (unless you don't care if it has it or not).

that little piece of crap netbook bugs the hell out of me. it like using a computer through a too-small VNC window, and being stuck with a mini keyboard with cramped/missing keys

        I've got this:

        Toshiba NB205-312BL

I love it. Sometimes I switch off to my old laptop for a bigger screen/louder speakers, but the keyboard is full size and the battery life is excellent.

EDIT: Yes I know it's old/not in production, but the screen size is what you were asking about.

I bought my sister an Acer netbook. she only uses it to surf on FB and to read yahoo.
I should trade her my laptop that i bought back in 06 since i never use it. At least with that she could play The Sims on.

Yeah i can't stand small computers. I really love my older 17 inch laptop. A 17 inch laptop at the proper 16:10 ratio, none of that 16:9 bullshit with all new computers.

depends if you can get use to it. had an acer aspire 1 and it was portable and did all my basic tasks, it made me feel like a giant but other than that no complaints. have since sold it to get a tablet. getting a netbook for my girl so i can scrub off her. which netbook are you looking at?

I had 2 Acer Aspire One netbooks (one got stolen) that had a 9" screen, I think. As a main computer, it's too small. As a portable computer for light use, it's fantastic.

one thing i don't like is the clamshell design, just don't grab it from the front

there is too many variations to the 1015, you got the 1015ped, 1015pe, 1015pem, 1015pn, 1015pw, 1015px, and 1015. why did you go for the pn?

Those extra number variations are all negligible

That just means it came with different internal specs like hard drive space or ram.

The basic laptop is the same

I want the dual core Atom 570 with the Ion GPU. For $300 it's a pretty bad ass machine at 8-10 hour battery life.
