Gavins Point Dam is cracking

I'm seeing reports all over the internet about this but nothing on the news. Can anyone living near the dam verify if it's cracking or not? Supposedly the Army Corps of Engineers in the area has placed explosives inside to blow 25% of the dam as a last ditch effort to save the hydro electric equipment. If it breaks everything between it and the Mississippi river will see devastating flooding.

Just wondering if what I'm hearing is true or if it's all assumptions..

Proof? I've read other reports from citizens in the area saying different??? Not saying you're wrong, just where you're coming from.

I know a few people who live in that area (Hartington Nebraska) and blowing it up is news to them.

Sounds like the typical, I have a friend of a friend who knows someone in a position who knows something that I should now tell you..... No proof of anything he says. Never provides his source. Sounds like typical propaganda to me. I do not know, we don't know, I have a lot of concerns..etc..etc. is all he keeps saying.

This was taped on Saturday and says that they only have 72hrs to evacuate...... God bless!

Yeah, it's hard to say what's legitimate news (I mean not even the real news is true all the time). I know the flood waters are VERY high behind that dam from pictures all over Google, I guess we'll wait and see if anything happens...
