    Hayabusa V8

Anyone ever thought about throwing one of these in a cb? Discuss.

It's so off the wall I figured it'd be better in the off-topic section.

Wouldnt you go faster if it stayed on the bike...?

I wanted to put a cbr600 engine I found on creagslist in my old civic... That engine is in a 10second bike but its only like 113 hp and thats like stock. All I will be doing to making it so I have to rev to 15k to get the power when a car engine can do it a 5k.

        Is that engine like 280hp?

Sure, if it wasn't $27k. You can build up a F22 and turbo it for 2k, and get the 400hp this engine puts out.

It's mostly just a silly idea, hence me putting it in off topic.

Silly idea to put it in an Accord for sure. At a weight of 200Lb pushing 400hp/250tq, it would be eye catching for some racers with a lighter chassis and running in a class with engine displacement restrictions.

                    So what's your F#@king point? It's a V8 created using parts from 2 I4 Suzuki Hyabusa engines.

So somebody welded two blocks together?
                          And made a custom crank?

No the guy CNC'd a crank case housing and made a custom crank. The rest is pretty much all Busa. Bike engines are not built the same as ours. They have the crank casing, cylinder sleeves, cylinder head and then the throttles (ITBs). The exhaust manifold is pretty much built into the head. They have a header without head flange. It has 4 individual pipes that bolt up to each exhaust port.

                            here ya go! http://www.h1v8.com/page/page/1562068.htm

That is pretty sweet! Very creative. Everyone needs to read about the process before posting stupid comments. I have though many times about doing something similar with 2 F22 heads. Imagine a 4.5 liter v8 with Bisi hardware and IAB's!
