    android apps

got an app you want to share or suggest? what app and why is it suggested

    #2
I love the Tiger Nes and Tiger Snes apps plus a good ROM app. I think its pretty bad ass to be able to play all the old school NES and SNES games on my phone whenever, wherever for free.Heck you can even get pretty much any platform (playstation etc.) to play on your phone.

A list of apps that's almost a year old might as well be completely obsolete. Apps come and go faster than my erections.

        My list of must-have apps:

Advanced Task Killer: To keep battery life maximized you should kill everything before putting your phone away. Launching new instances of an app are often instant and killing before putting your phone away will save a lot of battery life.

Andy-83: The built in calculator is good but if you have any sort of real computing you need to do this app is a full-fleged TI-83 Plus on your phone. Geek status.

Angry Birds: I don't know what I'd do when I shit if I didn't have this app

Andi DT: If your phone is stolen you can enable this from any computer and track it down. No idea if it's good because I've never had to use it but from what I've read it's pretty decent.

Astrid Tasks: Easy to use task manager for when you don't need to make a calendar entry. Pick up eggs at 8:00 Tuesday. It reminds you with funny quips when you don't finish shit.

Bible: Additional app for when shits take extra long

CalWidget: You can add 4x4, 2x2, etc. widgets to the home screens of your Google calendar. The best I've found thus far

Compass: Very useful when you want to watch the sun rise or when you're lost in the woods

Google Sky Map: Impress bitches, enough said

Pandora: Sucks battery like a leech, but it works well and is always nice to have as there isn't much storage space on a phone's MicroSD card

Power Control: Control Wifi, Bluetooth, GPS, Sync, and brightness levels with this 4x1 widget

StopWatch & Timer: Time your shits and compare with friends

TED Air: Watch TED Talks and get learned

Text Easy: For when you want to text a group of people something and don't want to have to copy and paste it to every contact entry

The Weather Channel: Very helpful when you're getting ready to leave a building without any windows.

Transdroid: Full control of uTorrent from your phone. This is one of the best apps I've ever found, absolutely killer.

Twidroyd: A twitter client that's alright. There are plenty out there, each has it's own pluses and minues. It's really a personal preference thing, I chose this because the widget is the best of the current crop.

The ones I use the most:

Angry Birds - Pretty much what Tnwagn said.

ColorNote - Nice and easy to organize memo pad.

Flashlight - If you have a flash for your camera, this app is awesome. It can easily light up a room with the Evo 4G.

Foursquare - Find nearby places, has coupons and discounts.

          Lookout - Awesome virus thingy.

MilePics - Hundreds of scantly clad and nude women.

GameBoid / ROM gripper - Pokemon on an Android? Ultimate time waster.

Shazam - Hear a song on the radio but don't know what it is? Shazam it.

The Weather Channel - Not as Tnwagn said. It's hard to tell the high for the day in the morning, and it's hard to know how the future forecast will look just by looking out the window.

Task killers use more battery killing apps then they save, try not using it for a week. Plus you can just add a shortcut to your page that takes you to "Running Services" that you can kill anything before putting your phone up if you want

Evo owner, a.k.a the biggest battery hog ever lol

It has always worked fine in my uses, then again the things I've used it for haven't been incredibly tight in terms of precision of the compass.
