Does anyone know of any sites where i can read more about them? I've tried google but it only comes back as reviews from owners.

My older brother was looking at a 2002 model and wants to know more about them especially what the max weight limit is. I've read that the 2007 model has a weight limit of 177 pounds but nothing about even newer models.

it seems that the design remained the same from 02 on, other than color options. So if 177lbs was the max weight in 2007, it should be the max weight in 2002.

i weigh about 240-245, and i rode a Metropolitan II for like 6-7 miles...lil slow going up hill, but she moves...and the II is the slower one.

Such a wimpy looking little scooter... but it must be nice to get crazy good gas mileage and still zip around on a decent quality machine. It also weighs less than it's able to carry... I believe I read like 155lbs. I could lift that thing myself!

How much is he looking to spend on the 02? I found an 03 around me for $1200... but a brand new one is only $2049. For only 2 grand, I'd think a brand new one would be well worth the little extra over a used one.

He found one for only 500 and it only has 1300 miles on it.

Ah, ok. I'd certainly say that's worth it. If it was over $1000, I'd say no. Hell, if that 03 that I found was going for $500, I might be on my way to get it now! Sadly, that one near me is white and yellow... looks like a half-eaten Peep on wheels.

my sister drives a green one of those around baltimore, ans she says it can scare her sometimes, but shes a 120lb chick. end of the day she drives it into her back door and parks it on the corner of her kitchen. gets crap tons of MPGs and nice and maneuverable... youd never catch me on it tho

He decided not to get it after all. He said he weighed too much and decided on a 150cc scooter instead that was 150 bucks moreand new.

My friend has a 150cc Tank scooter (Chinese Honda knockoff). I rode it once... scared the shit out of me.
