The electronics are already bad enough in them... this won't help at all. But damn, that must have taken a whoooole lot of work.

So gross, but that was good work. Too bad inside the vents and within the dash are probably still covered in that shit.

          life is good.

Why would inside the dash and those areas have mold? Doesn't mold only really grow in sunlight areas?

Mold can grow without light.. Ever seen water damage in a house? Ugh.

Let me guess, convertible? Left top down, rained, put in a damp garage and forgotten about for a few days?

It looks good, but I highly doubt he gutted the interior and pulled out the carpet. I'm sure there's still mold under the carpet, under the seats, inside the dash, etc.

                    Quote from page 2

I did steam the vents, and steamed everything in addition to the mold remover. Next car I do of his I will be putting in an ozone generator to ensure mold in the places I couldn't reach are eliminated.
Just adding this.....To clarify why I did the job the way I did.

If I could have removed interior pieces I would have, the customer declined.

If you get paid for a 1 step paint correction and can't get all the scratches out do you wetsand and do a complete two step? NO!! You do what you get paid to do.

I did assure him without complete removal of the interior I cannot guarentee full remediation. He understood that and still agreed. I did what I was contracted to do and that was clean the surface mold and anywhere I could get.

Mold can really do some funky things to you...

That's impressive how clean he got it, though.
I was almost expecting this to be the start of a new trend, like the rusted BMW.

I would hope he didn't try to start a " distressed interior " trend with mold lol

That's just nasty. He did do a good job surface wise, but underneath the carpets lies more of the specimen that makes you sick and itch.
