What were you talking about on that other thread? I knew about personal drones, but I didn't know of any commercial ones.
That video is AMAZING. That guy just needs to make himself a real sized one.

holy crap, how the hell do you fly that thing????

Speaking of RC helicopters, check out this video

That was my friend Bob. He passed away last march in a car accident. He could fly those helicopters like you would read about. the first time i watched in person i was in awe that those manuvers could even be done.
After he passed, i went out a bought an electric version of the one in the vid, because he had said, its alot of fun and you should try it... so i did. Ive flown it 3 times since last spring and every time ill get it to hover above the ground, then as soon as i try to go in any direction, it hurls itself into the ground and explodes lol. I know hes getting a kick out of watching from where ever he is!

the learning curve on rc heli is insane! i use to race nitro stadium truck and had great control over something that only had two channels and on the ground. one channel for the steering and the other for throttle/break.

so i went out and got an rc heli witch had 6 channels. forward/reverse,side to side, yaw, pitch, spin and acceleration of the main blades. capable of 3D flying.

you will crash! especially with an model with so many channels
to anyone who wants to start flying a heli i suggest anything with co-axial blades or 2 channels. and a company that makes replaceable parts.

                      Any suggestions?

It doesn't matter. I bookmarked the links of where I can buy that helicopter and drone.

That thing is awesome! too bad they're so damn hard to fly. A lot of folks think you can just get it down pat right outta the box, but from watching my buddy's dad and grandfather fly an r/c chopper, I have a much different opinion now. But this plane is just insane.

                        life is good.
