Where in Boston are these places? I live in Roxbury (for school) in a 3 unit building. I don't have my car out here, so parking wasn't an issue. It's a 5 minute walk to class haha.

                well...it depends on rent.....

place 1: you have a house thats safe and has its own yard.

place 2: you have a place in a building with more convenience to things.

sure place 2 might not be as safe...but do you really want your own yard?? do you want to do all the chores it takes to maintain one?

price pays a factor....you pay for what you get. if your paying a lot, you damn well better get a lot.

Usually the yard work is taken care of by landlord.

                    Do you have a family?
Ive been living in the Urban Jungle the last two years...
We are moving out of it this summer.

My kids can't play outside without direct supervision due to the amount of transients that move through the area. Too many people with no ties and anywhere to go.

House 1, if you have a fam.
House 2, if your just a dude and his GF.

                      Metered parking = no go.

As long as you have access to public transit, you can get wherever you need to go if you don't feel like driving.

Have you done a cost analysis for what you would pay for parking per month compared to the difference in rent?

I feel like metered parking would add a great deal of monthly cost.

Its funny even metered parking is funny. You have to pay the municiple meter in the city. So with that conclusion the metermaids usualy wait in the area till you park up and get out of the car and they will run to the car and hit it with the ticket. The worst part most of them cant speak english.

Yea I agree with LadyG94CB7, if you have kids safety is number one when it comes to picking a place to stay. Before I had my little girl I was living it the ghetto and once I had here I didn't wanna expose her to that shit so I moved to a safer area.
