Is it me or is the motor rotated and just running a differential in the rear. It may possibly even have a transfer case and front diff. If it even has that?

So what you are trying to say here is just rotate your engine and run a diff in the rear?

if you don't mind having your engine directly behind you without a rear seat this might be possible with where the rear diff has to be, which would be right behind where the rear seat is

looks like the right CV axle hole powers the whole rear axle & the left CV axle hole powers the whole front axle

He completely welded the diff in the transmission, it is the transfer case.
