    Laptop repair

I have an Acer Aspire 3000 laptop that my friend gave me and i got it to working pretty much back to factory settings and its not that slow. However the screen is sooooo dark I can barely make out anything in the light and iv tried changing the brightness but its not even letting me. I tried going into the BIOS like in a dell but still no dice.

Any Ideas? I wanna sell it for some money.

Is the video working properly? Maybe the drivers for the video aren't installed?

probably dead backlight, they burn out all the time. commonly enough that there are replacements plus DIY guides for most brands/models floating out there on the net.

This might be it. Il take the screen apart and see if it lights up at all.
