How long ago, how many miles, and how much did you pay for your CB7?

Just trying to get a feel for what I should be paying. Crazy how these cars, even though 10+ years old, are holding their value.

Might go and look at this one today and see how good of shape it's in, asking $5,444:

    http://www.autotrader.com/findacar/v...r_id=148157820

Edmunds customized appraisel lists it at $5,696 for a clean condition and $4,336 for average. They give it +$703 for the milege adjustment alone

Keep on looking or ? I keep on hearing how you guys only paid $2k or less though!?!?! At that price level, are they just beat to hell and need all kinds of conditioning?

I know how you guys say the engines in these cars are just getting broken in when they're at 100k, but at what point should I start to be concerened? Or just forget about it if proper maintenance has been done?

One last question, there are ZERO changes between the 92 and 93 correct?

Edit - (I'm looking for the Green exterior cause I hear it's the only one that came with the black plastic console. I plan on going black carpet, door panels, seats, etc in the future. Also, plan to have it re-sprayed so I really don't care what color I get. Leaning towards black exterior, but don't care that much if the engine bay is a different color once the car gets sprayed. Oh, and has to be automatic since I just want a comfy 4 door that's easy to drive , There I think I've said enough.)

I got mine about 2 months ago for $1500 with a bad motor, so I just bought an H22 for around $1400 and swaped it in right away.
So I geuss in all I paid $2900 for a H22 accord Besides the engine being no good it had minor damage on the bumper which isn't a big deal, but other then that it's in really great shape.

$3400 2.5 years ago from my mom's fiancee's dealership... They were trying to sell it for $5500. It had 117,000 miles on it, and was in decent condition (not great, now that I actually care. I didn't then.)

About 6 months ago I swapped in the H22 (and put about 12,000 miles on it since)

The car now has 175,000 miles on it

Going on 4 years, 50K miles, and I paid 3K for it. Which at the time was really good despite the cars condition. Plus it was the only Accord in Miami I could find with an original clean title, no salvage. My original intention was never to keep it this long but oh well. 4 years later it's still here.

Had mine for about 2.5 years, my first car. Got it with about 167k miles, and now its got about 230k. The car was in pretty good condition when I got it, but its gone a long way since then.

                              good topic

                              1st Accord -91 EX 2dr.
purchased 6 years ago for $4100 with 180,000 mis. on it in excellent condition. drove it with the stock motor/tranny until about 270,000mis. and then parked it and stripped it to start on the race project. Motor and tranny still ran fine when pulled and are now installed in my 3rd Accord

                              2nd Accord -91 EX 2dr.
purchased about 6 mos. ago for $800 with 220,000 mis.
had minor things wrong with it, but I got a great deal. motor and tranny ran OK, but coulda used a little work. I bought an H22 motor tranny for $2200 and added about $500 in bolt-ons so total for the H22 Accord with some goodies was around $3500

                              3rd Accord -93 EX
purchased about a month ago for $1700 with 170,000 mis.
The car came with a built H23/H22 motor that I have since pulled and installed one of my old F22A4's in place of it to get a dependable daily driver. So basically I have an extra motor/tranny that could easily sell for $3000+ if I wanted to and make some money. With the F22 in it, I could sell the car for around $2000 and make some money. Either way, I think I got a pretty good deal on this one too.

There's always good deals on cars, you just gotta know people or keep looking until you see the one deal that jumps out at you.
