I love how people always complain about AT&T, but yet I haven't had any problems for the four plus years I've been with them.

att just doesn't get very good service in my area. i always get 1 bar everywhere i go i live in a semi-big city too and i tried using razrs and phones with ant. and still get shitty reception and dropped calls. i've never had a problem with verizon except at&t makes some pretty cool phones like the iphone which i have but can't use...

        wahts the TP2 julian?

Its not impossible. If you will recall, the first unlock for the original iphone required that it be takien apart, and certain internals replaced and resoddered, followed by applying a software hack. Now, is it easy? Not remotely. Its not even easy to find the appropriate information for it online, let alone having it done. In the end, the effort and money that would need to be spent would be far more than what having an iphone on verizon wireless would be worth.

And for those that don't know, verizon was the first company that apple approached with regards to carrying the iphone, and verizon turned them down.

they are going to extend the Iphone thu ATT for another 2 years or so.....so might never get it to work with verizon since 2012 is around the corner lmao

i asked a friend about the iphone with tmobile and he said something about not getting everything out of the iphone. you cant unlock the full capability without the 3g network crap. i dunno if that helps

I wonder... I noticed my phone has a SIM card in it. It's Verizon, but the card says Verizon/Vodafone on it... I also have a fresh 3GS here...

some phones, like the recent touch BB, is a world phone, so it runs on verizons cdma network, but it also has the ability to accept a simcard to run on gsm.

but in the end, the iphone is the best, and verizon knows it. which is why they came out with the droid and tried to throw around some "iDont" ads. didnt work though. their bitterness will never outshine all that is the iphone. and as soon as a company comes out with a phone that actually takes away some attention from the iphone... here comes the iphone 4g!!!

No matter what, ATT's network is inferior and that's what matters most.

so what your saying is someone is going to basically design a CDMA motherboard for the iPhone. You can't go from gsm to CDMA you would need a whole new motherboard not modifying the existing one, there is more to it then the radio. There is the chipset too. It's impossible

On another note there is a CDMA iPhone in china but their CDMA is diffrent from ours.

And on a final note I took the gsm sim card from my brothers world blackberry tour phone and it didn't work because sprint dosent have gsm roaming agreements with AT&T or tmobile.
