im only used to NY ticketing, where if u plead innocent, u mail the ticket in and they fine you. you go to the first court date and wait in line and u go up to this cop and he asks if u plea guilty or not, say NOT guilty, and u walk away, and you get a new court date mailed to you. the second one is when you actually talk to the judge, but the cops who did the tickets call each person to discuss it with them, be super nice, yes sir, yes sir, and he will usually drop the charge to something unimportant, like a 54 in a 45, which is 9mph, which is just under the next step up in fines and points, which is 55 in 45... but you still pay the original fine, but you dont get as many points. be nice to the judge "yes sir, i understand sir, it wont happen again"

i had a ticket for 98 in a 65, i paid the whole $350 for it, but he dropped it to a 75 in a 65, which was like 2 points or somethin.

my friend in his 94 teg was doing 126 in a 55 and the cop only wrote it down for 106 because if he didnt he would have had to take him to jail with misdameanor charges. two days later he got arested for street racing his liscence is definately suspended
