Foreign manufacturer riped off Motorola student work

    So...

A kid from my school designed a phone called the Motorola Nest. It was a sponsored project by Motorola and in no way resembles Motorola as a company because it's only student work. So any how,...while searching through design forums apparently people think it is an actual concept being released by Motorola and continually make spec assumptions on a phone that doesn't exist.

But what is really crazy about this whole conspiracy, someone has actually made a prototype of the Nest phone. This was not made by Motorola nor was it made by Kelly Bremer.....hmm.....interesting. Apparently someone from a foreign market saw the concept, thought it was a real leaked Moto image and made a knock off as quick as possible.

It's not terrible having the phone images all over the internet, great press for Kelly but if this unknown 3rd party actually produces the Nest phone, he wont get credit for it. Oh well besides the bad things that could come from it, I just thought it was amazing how 1 student project was blown so out of proportion that 3rd parties are stealing the design thinking it's for real...makes me laugh

That's pretty crazy! I guess props to him for making a design good enough for someone else to copy it.

Pretty flattering, honestly. If he never intended it to go to production anyway, it's pretty neat to see it made! Not nearly as fluid and cool as the concept, but the concept isn't really all that real-world anyway.

He should buy one. Or get one for free...

Ha, yeah it's funny that they chose that concept to copy. The design & concept was disorganized and cluttered.
