No, They used to be Lincoln Park West, but that name has such bad associations they changed it to Wingate Villages (which ties together the different architectural styles.)

One of the techs at my last property has worked at the new place twice, both times before the 2004 tragedy. He stoped over today to talk about it and said that even then there were units that had been vacant for years. He also said that I'll hear a lot of strange noises with no explanations when I'm alone in a building. wOOt!! Maybe I'll set up a recorder and camera from time to time and see if I can catch something mysterious!
Some of these place I don't want to go into alone. I know there are homeless and worse in there somewhere. I've seen one abandoned building with an extension cord running from the electrical meter box into a window. (Still power at the box, they pull the meter to try to stop people from restoring electricity to individual units, but have left power to common areas for safety! ) There's some scary looking apartments, and I know there has to be at least one dead body somewhere on the property. There is no way, with over 1500 vacants, that some homeless guy or a junkie hasn't crawled through a broken window and died there.

                      Okay:

I'm the lead HVAC technician for the second largest apartment complex in the US. (They fired the old guy, so I get to learn all this old ass shit by trial! Nothing (HVAC) on the property is newer than the mid 70's, except for some water chiller units that aren't in use.

I think I will send something to Dirty Jobs. It's be cool to have Mike Rowe tag along and clean up some ugliness!

It used to be the most likely place in Columbus Ohio to get jacked, robbed, murdered and more while you bought your crack and hookers. Not any more.

And yesterday I found out there's a basketball half court under one of the abandoned clubhouses. Going to try to get pics today at lunch!!

Looks very interesting! I don't think I could work there alone though. I would hate to stumble across homeless people/and or bodies. What you said about atleast one person dieing in there, I agree completely.

Looks like fun though. Def. give mike rowe a call.
