ummm...ok......that history thing is cool, but i didnt see anyhting about the cars being made here (but i only skimmed thru....maybe they are just assembled here like some lexus cars)....so like i said, my JHM is an authentic JDM, right?
and your telling me the 1HGs were made in maryland?

JHM being authentic JDM? i guess technically yeah, it was produced and assembled over in japan, and shipped over to the US... but its all according to US specifications.
im not 100% positive if the 1HG's were actually manufactured or just assembled in the US (ohio), but there are small differences between the two types. all of the electronics (gauge cluster, clock, misc buttons and stuff) in the JHMCB7's are made by japanese companies (alpine, denso, etc) where the 1HGCB7 electronics were made by american companies (alps, borg, etc).
clear example: nissin seiki made the clocks for the JHMs, and BorgUSA makes the 1HGCB7 clocks. they look the same, but internally they arent.
only thing im not positive about is whether or not the body panels are manufactured in the US or japan for the 1HG's because i know *both* the 1HG's and JHM's have those two small holes on the driver side strut tower (against the fender) where the rivets are supposed to go for the JDM vin tag plate... even tho none of the US cars actually came with the plate.

marysville, ohio as steveb wrote earlier. let's read the words people type!
the destination of a car is all about the engine... the body may be made in america (for example bmw z3's are assembled in south carolina, the engines are produced in germany; honda's come out of marysville, ohio; the engines are produced in japan).
so would there be any difference in quality, for instance, i know that japanese electronics are far superior to american, so wouldnt that make the instruments in a JHM technically better than a 1HG?

Actually EL the engine manfacturing plant is located in Ohio as well. I think is one or two towns over from Marysville.
God wouldn't be the damdest thing if we could come up with a huge meet to take place there?
