Having tried to figure it out for weeks now, I decided today to try and change my brake lamp switch. Not knowing how to remove it, I cracked it. By breaking it, I realized how easy it is to remove it... I quickly drove to the yard with as much caution as possible since my brake lights were no longer functional without the switch and put 2 in my pocket. It didn't change anything. The light still goes on. I know it is not my taillights because I tried with my friend's ones and still no positive result. However, today by driving back from work about an hour ago (night time) I realized that when I step on the brake pedal, my dash light goes on even though I never turned it on. There is obviously a short circuit somewhere. The brake lamp switch wires are somehow interacting with the dash light one. If I turn the engine off, open my door and step on the brake,I would hear this little sound it usually does when you open your door and have your dash light on. I'll check it out on Saturday hopefully. It is my last remaining electrical problem.
If you have tried everything from changing all your bulbs, to try with different taillights and it still goes on, check for a short circuit under the dash.
