It's funny. Adam/Rebels returned the other day, and now you're back. It's like the old days! Hell, I'm even talking to Maple about how his car is falling apart (though he actually managed to make his Civic look good, and boosted it... and hasn't blown it up yet!)

Yeah, tell me about it. I had Less than Jake stuck in my head for months... "we went from heaven to heartbreak in the blink of an eye"... it was hardly heaven, though. Just what seemed to be the logical path for my life. I was wrong.

Of course, it was over 2 years before it even began. She was cheating on me for 2 years before we got married. If the guy wasn't also married the entire time, she never would've married me. I guess she thought it could be like that forever. No wonder everything I tried to do to make things right didn't work... Oh well. My life is better for it. It really is (and that's not just trying to make myself feel better... it REALLY is... aside from the whole being single thing... not fond of that.) I still have plenty of potential in my life. I'm making more money than I've ever made, and I'm in a position where I'll be clearing 6 figures by the time I'm 35. She's barely scraping by in an apartment with her boyfriend. Ready to start a family with him, even though both of them are still legally married to other people. Both of them have college degrees, and hold jobs that don't even require high school diplomas. Their combined income is less than mine alone (and I got my job by helping out a fellow Honda guy. It also doesn't need any education.) I've lost 50lbs, she's doubled in size since the day I met her. He's a pompous hippie in his 30s, that will never amount to anything worthwhile.

So yeah, her life is on stall, and she still seems to think she's happy. Maybe she'll remain so... I hope so. However, she got disenchanted with me once things got commonplace, and the financial stress set in. It won't take long for that to happen with him as well. The question is, who will cheat on whom first?

My life, on the other hand, is only moving forward. I've been on a few dates, and only one with a girl I wouldn't be proud to be seen with in public (hey, you gotta start somewhere!) I'm in the best shape I've been in since I was 18. I have my music, I have more friends than I know what to do with, my cars, my dog, my house... you guys

There's a lot I want to do with my life, but I'm putting myself in a position to do it all. I hope she's happy where she's at, becuause her life isn't going to go much further than this. If being poor, living in an apartment next to the highway, and having kids is all she's ever wanted in life, then I guess I really WAS wrong for her.
