Best way to get double sided foam tape off my fenders???

I had these black fender protectors on my car that looked awful, so I took them off

Of course they were held on by double sided tape foam type deal.

How the FUCK do I get it off w/o ruining the paint? I'm thinking a heat gun and a lot of patience.

I forgot what this thing is called. I think its called goo gone. You can get it just about anywhere.

That will take it off and still safe on the paint.

I have this same problem...except on my door. The plastic trim/guard isn't there, so there's two pieces of foam tape running the length of my drivers door. Doesn't like to peel off too easily.

Hey man, does that pinstripe wheel actually take the foam off or only the adhesive? And will it remove the damn sticker decals?

And what the hells the difference in that 30 dollar one and the 13 or 14 dollar one I find when I google search? They're 6 inches....is that one a jumbo 12 inches or some shit?

We use double sided foam tape for our display phones.
Goo gone takes off all the glue in about 10 seconds.

Yea it might take the glue off but does it make the foam come up? I think the whole point was the foam is frickin old dried out and stuck on there and won't peel up.

goo gone does not soften the foam, just the adhesive. so if theres a lot of foam remaining, itll take a while to get off.

the OEM method suggests covering the area with film and heating it with an infrared light... yeah no

i would use the Pinstripe eraser wheel, those things are fantastic, its a big solid pencil eraser that wipes just about anything off of the paint, without hurting it underneath. just the adhesive, adhesive+foam, or even whole decals. gone. then a final wipe-down with googone.
