Going to New York Longbeach Tonight: 2 minutes decison!

I was on my way to the public pool with my friend this afternoon when out of nowhere as a joke at first he asked me if I was down to go to New York tonight. As odd as this may sound, on my way to pick him up earlier I was having this crazy idea too. That's really weird. Anyway... So we got ourselves a GPS from Staples that we will use to get there and back and then bring it back We sort of just burrowed it I would say. We're leaving tonight at about 11pm Montreal and New York time to get there in the morning between 6 and 8 am. We'll spend the day at the beach and leave in the evening to get back home by dawn on Thursday since we both got work in the afternoon. I'll run the CB7 through a last minute checkup to see if everything is alright which it should be since the car is mechanically in a near perfect state. With a little luck, besides all the beautiful girls, I'll get to see some of you guys

It is... But this isn't the first time things go the way they do now

We've been to Virginia Beach before and it was kind of planned the same way

I drove the 800 miles back all by myself and that's when I just got my CB and it wasn't in the greatest shape ever. I still can't believe it survived the way back from Florida when I first got it and then another 2 x +/- 800 miles trip a few weeks later.

Anyway I just love driving on never endings roads. Of course I wouldn't do it alone but with my best friend of 13-14 years it's not a problem. I wish my other friend could've come too but he has work in the morning hahaha. He didn't even believe us when we called him to let him know the plan. It's only when we drove to the staples he works at that he took us seriously.

I was meant to be sleeping a little before but I just can't so I'm leaving very soon. I even got my mom to cut my fricking fringe because I've been working and playing with my car non stop and never had some free time to get a fricking hair cut

I also got a bad sunburn on my back since it hasn't seen sun ever since summer started and lying down for a few hours at the pool wasn't so much of a great idea. Anyway it won't stop me. I'll wear a shirt this time.

gona be a fun trip though, let me know how long beach is, i never usually cross over into long island for anything.

I havent been too nyc a long time I used to run air freight out of JFK headed for la guardia , we made that run all week I had a blast

I'M BACK! I'm still dead tired but I have to go to work

It was all good except for the fact that I scrapped my fricking bumper agaisnt a low concrete platform that I couldn't see in the mirror. Of course it only has to happen when the car has just been painted. It put a hole in it and removed a lot of paint. However, it isn't so bad and can be fixed with some cutting, melting, bond, primer and paint so I'll try and get over it. It also took us longer to get there because at the border they didn't believe our crazy story. I told them we were going to Longbeach to probably spend the entire day there and then come back by the next morning. I mean it does sound crazy. It's a 7 - 8 hours drive to get there so who would be crazy enough to go there for just a day. We've been questioned over and over again but since it was nothing but the truth I kept repeating the same thing. After an hour they finally let us through.
