Styling - NEW VS OLD? It's a poll!

Styling - NEW VS OLD? It's a poll!

In case you haven't noticed the belt line has been rising. Less glass more body. It's everywhere.
The Chrysler 300 is a good example, kind of a "chopped" look.
All manufactures pretty much doing it, it's the new wheel.
It certainly can look good but is it better? Or is it change for the sake of change with more blind spots? Styling with out regard for safety?
Or does it look like BUTT on many makes?
Your answer may influence future styling. NOT REALLY!

i remember when the toyota echo first came out, me and my brother used to go on and on and on about how abnormally shaped it was, how tall of a body it had, with such a small windowline... i personally HATE the look, new cars are fat bulbous obnoxious hunks of mass... i think after 1995 is when cars started getting too thick.

i hate the high belt line, but i love the chopped look. the lower the car is overall, the better it looks. if it wouldnt completely screw rigidity and cost more than everything in the car, i would chop the top of mine about 2-3 inches. most old cars, lots of new cars, and all minitrucks look great when they've been chopped a bit. hell, signal did it to their drag civic and it looked amazing:

I personally love the chopped look. The Z has it too some what.

and when you sit inside, the interior door panels seem MASSIVELY TALL.

but, I still kinda like it.

                    I like both looks.
It just depends on what type of car it is.
I think the tC looks good with it's glass roof.
I like the Magnum for it's chopped look.
