I'm not getting one. Parents claimed me as a dependent (last semester of college, so I can still be claimed as such). People at H&R Block told them I'd still get it, but the letter from the IRS that everyone got clearly says you don't qualify for the rebate if you're claimed as a dependent. Plus, I have to be under 17 for my parents to get the rebate, which I'm not. So I'm stuck in a government loophole where no one gets the money. I'm pissed about it, because I could've used that money to move.

im in the same boat but i was told id still get it b4 i filed my own taxes but it would be 300 not 600?

I'll probably bank mine. Not sure what i'll do with it. I know what id like to with it...bushing set, grounding kit, new HU and maybe some red/clears. Id really like to focus as much of my money on mechanics, more than aesthetics, but dammit...i want a new set of tails.

Itll probably get mixed in with my paycheck, so who knows what the actual check will buy, but those things are my list. That and a new pair of kicks. Work is killing the old ones. Plus, i need a fresh pair for the streets anyway.
