for art class i need to create, with a partner, a pair of wearable items or sculptures that can be presented in some way as having a connection to the other person. it needs to be created out of household supplies like cardboard, bubble wrap, plastic bags, tissue paper, tape, whatever.
soooo me and this girl amanda decided to do something along the lines of a knight and his lady...
which turned into "A Knight in Shining Cardboard" and "A Damsel in This Dress"
so im almost done building the armor. i havent seen her dress yet, but its due tomorrow and we will be taking pictures in class, so i will be able to provide updated pictures afterward.
but i wanted to show you guys waht i made!!! lol
the body armor is cardboard lined with a combination of sheets of aluminum foil and aluminum tape. trimmed with electrical tape.
the sheath/skirt thing is strips of aluminum sheet metal hanging by duct tape to a cardboard vest, held up with duct tape "suspenders" and velcro.
the "chain mail" leggings are just wide-opening aluminum screen (roll of flexible gutter guard) stapled in loops and duct taped through one of the edges.
knee guards are cardboard covered in aluminum tape, with a rubberband stapled to the back.
tomorrow morning im going to build a helmet real quick, and hopefully ill have time to throw together some armor boot covers that can be set overtop of my sneakers.
hope you like haha, it took me a lil while.
