I want to restore my exterior and interior black plastic trim on car without using this rub in compounds that never last that long. Should i start at a lower grit sandpaper like 120 or 80 or can i just start with a buffing compound made for clear coats. Some of this black plastic is really faded. Other parts are not. Is all the plastic on car bled thru plastic. Just a little nervous to start sanding at 120 grit and the plastic isn't bled thru or something else. Never have i tried this on plastic so i want to be sure before i mess something up. Just aluminum stuff have i done. IS it really just same deal? Are there plastic buffing compounds i can use on a rotary buffing wheel?
