JDM CB Sports VIP etc Grilles Thread

Thought I'd start a thread for authentic CB Grilles. Please post if you have an authentic grille to share! Please no DIY or retrofit grilles. This is a reference thread for true existing CB grilles.

    JDM Stanley 89-91 OEM Grille
-JDM grille featured straight cut sides to fit the 89-91 chrome headlamp trim piece. These also featured a more better looking filled emblem like the 92-93 oem grille.

    JDM Stanley 92-93 Grille
-No real difference, if you are lucky to acquire one off e-bay, sometimes the previous japanese owner paint matched the chrome trim to the car which makes the grille look nice.

    JDM G-Square Grille
    - Give the Accord a sleeker looking front face.

    JDM East Bear (90-91 version)

    JDM East Bear (92-93 version)
-Looks like a G-Square grille without the mesh portion but includes a bar filling the gap.

This is a list of other JDM spec grilles which will be added shortly when I find better pictures and scans.

    JDM ChargeSpeed

Infamous G-Square style looking center grille with eyelids molded combo

    JDM LuckyStar Kamen (mask) Grille

Some think it's hideous, others like it because it's different. This grille brings back the vinyl "masked headlight phase" of the 90's where every car or truck was putting them on. This grille changes the front headlights to look something like a twisted version of the USDM DC2 cat eye headlights and deletes the corner signals in the process.

JDM Lucky Star Full Billet (upper + grille combo)
JDM Loco Banana Full Billet (upper + lower grille combo)

-These grilles look like the everyday billet grilles you find every now and then on E-bay but of course with better quality. The full billet setup features a lower billet add-on insert to cover the region in between the turn signals as well for a full VIP look.

They look nearly identical and to seperate the grilles from looking like another companies, you can get an optional polished grille insert of their logo to add.

    Luckystar - Globe+star
    Loco Banna - Loco emblem

    JDM Varns (G-Square lookalike)
    JDM Varns (ChargeSpeed lookalike)

JDM Wise Square (East Bear 92-93 clone)

JDM G-Brand (VIP CB9 Wagon Grille)
Circular shaped grille that looks like only the center area of the Luckystar Kamen Grille.

    Unconfirmed Grilles

    Mugen

Haven't been confirmed to exist but the G-square grille can be a possible knockoff like the 5th gen CD G-square grille being a knockoff of the Mugen.

Just the JDM 89-91. They have a flatter outter edges to allow space for one piece lamps chrome trim. As for the jdm 92-93, there is only one difference but it's only how it was constructed from the honda plant. You can only see it when you take the top portion of the chrome area off the grille itself.l.... i'm going to leave it at that. Lets see if someone has a good jdm eye and can tell what the purpose of the redesign is for!

Pictures will be up as soon as I get nice detailed ones. Anyone with Chargespeed or *cough* lucky star kamen grilles can help out.

I noticed that, coz the 9091 locally assembled CBs over here closely resemble the USDMs, hence the grilles are also different. Just slightly.

i was referring to the 9293's

i used to own this Luckystar grille (kamen?) and i sold it to Charliehstle209. heres a couple more detailed shots to go along with the ones posted above.

btw, i was never able to find any indicator, logo or stamp that would indicate what this was, i only recognized it because i knew what it was.
