    Sunroof

Has anyone ever priced out installing an EX sunroof in a DX or LX...besides having to change all the interior trim and cutting a big hole in the roof, are there any other concerns...I don't have the money for this yet, but I'd just love to know if anyone has tried yet.

    other concerns:
    proper function.
    quality of install.
if poor install, then leaking when it rains or when the car is washed is then a concern.

absence of evidence is not evidence of absence.

        cpmike wanted to do this...
What makes me laugh about forums, is that no matter how much you try to help someone, they dont take the advice. Go ahead and do it the hard way.

You got to respect what you drive, and appreciate what you have, making the best of what you got. and if that means putting CAI, HID's, a phat stereo system, and a idiot in the drivers seat...then so be it!

Yeah...I was just testing the waters...I know there's so many pitfalls in doing any sort of structural cutting...but I figured maybe someone had experience...just a pipe dream because I saw an ex sunroof on ebay for like $100

i was always planning on cutting a hole in my LX roof and installing an OEM sunroof. i hear all the mount spots are there, but apparently its more involved than i thought... u need to deal with the dome light, and even the rear oh-shit handles are different. its a whole ordeal.

Is there a DIY somewhere on the net? and why? Itd just be nifty to have a sunroof.

j/k. I don't see the need. Just roll down your window and stick your head out.

water wouldnt leak if done right, and i know a friend that put one into his big old ass oldsmobile back in high school. i've heard of universal applications, but never seen any. with enough money anything is possible, but it would take a lot of work. youd even have to alter the headliner and cut that and get it just right. so, i dont know what the point of this post is, other than to say it would be a bitch to do, but its possible. if you find the stuff to do it, and do go through with it, let us know how it goes. and sunroofs are cool, its fun to stick your head out of them and drive.
