    Noobie Swap Question (Distributor)

    I cant find a definate anwser on this, so here we go...

    -Does the 90 EX have an internal or externail coil?

    -Does the JDM 92-95 H22 have a internal or externail coil?

    the jdm obd1 H22 has an internal coil. and if your distributor has 5 wires going to it (there is a 5th wire that resembles a spark plug wire), then it is EXTERNAL coil. the internal coil distributors only had 4 wires coming from the cap.

        Good. 4 wires, its internal. Less wiring and modification to deal with during the swap. Thanks!

        And Mike, you should lock and sticky this thread before it gets hijacked.
