Willing to bet that is exactly what it is!
There are TWO of these on the clutch pedal (if you have cruise control). Here is the fun part, the one that keeps it from starting is WAY HIGH UP where the clutch petal is mounted and Im not sure how anyone gets up in there and replaces the part. You can JUST see it with a flash light, should see the hole the plastic part goes through and you should also see black plastic parts on your drivers floor board. I unplugged the plug going to the switch, pulled it down to where I could access it and I jumped it with a wire, taping the wire in place. This will allow your car to start WITHOUT having to push in the clutch so you kinda gotta keep that in mind. But the upside is being able to reach inside and starting the car (so long as your SURE its in neutral lol)
