Thanks Dude. Likewise, its hard to meet people now days that have a good heart. We really are similar.. Lol
I did the following in roughly the correct order.
Jul 2009 I bought Alpine speakers and rare overseas available only Alpine sub. I stuck with alpine since the original japanese radio (Honda on the cassette door) is would you believe it an Alpine!
I think because its the top of the range JDM it has a premium brand stereo commissioned by Honda (even though it still has the Honda tag on it).
Fixed the stuck key in my JDM CB (had key cut on normal Honda key - same size as CRX and prelude). Went in alright but was not long enough to push in and release. What luck a simple thing like a key would get so complicated and cause a problem. Accords have longer keys! (Remember dont do the same mistake i did...lol)
Aug 2009
(2nd Week) I bought my Dad his CB (it is the top of the range similar to the us EX). It has heated mirrors, sunroof, powered seats and leather with spoiler and 5x oem mags. All Original including stereo.
(3rd and 4th week) Fixed the inner door lock mechanism on my JDM CB as the power window auto down feature went down on all the rods and links accidentally (as it was on the way when i removed the door lock to get a key made).
It kinked the rods but as it had bends in it originally it was so hard to find in what way it was kinked and how far to rebend what. I had to disassemble the other side and compare the 2 to find out. So much work for an accident with the power window !!!
Refitted the door lock, door handle and changed the front speakers to Alpine. Rear ones i have but not yet fitted. Would you belive the JDM version have the same looking rear parcel shelf speaker pods but it takes 6x9's not the normal 6" inch round speakers! So the shape of the mould is totally different. Front doors speakers also have bass magnifying reflex resonating tubes (speakers just dont bolt straight on to door frame hole with a plastic water sheild at the back)!!.. it was a treat and surprise to see! : )
Showed me this JDM CB is totally more underneath the skin than meets the eye.
Sep 2009
Changed the inner and outer CV boots on my JDM Accord (also the tranmission fluid also). Did it for first time and only on weekends so took me like 2 or 3 weekends (including buying tools and redoing it twice).
Proud of that achievement as i did it professionally on my first car. I bought the proper clamp tightener to give it a clean and tight fit. I tried just pulling it with pliers and lever like a socket at first but i wasnt happy with the finish and kinks in the clamp so i ended up removing the CV's and redoing them to feel secure and happy (double the work!!).
Oct 2009 Fixed my brothers CD accord Vehicle Speed Sensor
Nov 2009 Changed my brothers CD accord brakes and got rear bumber and quarter panels for my dads CB accord.
Dec 2009
(3rd week) Changed the inner and outer CV boots on the left and right axles.
In the process i also drained and changed the tranny fluid
Jan 2010
(1st week) Fixed rusted rear quarter pannels (below tail lights) and rear cracked bumper (as it was hit slightly previously). Not it is much better! No rusted quarter panels.
(2nd week) Fixed my a rear tyre puncture and exhaust (glad i bought that tyre repair kit - for tubeless fixes) and exhuast leak
(3rd Week) Replaced the front engine mount and
cracked front passenger and driver door handles
Feb 2010
(1st week) Fixed the fault on the main radiator fan
(2nd week) Fault found on my CRX (radiator top plastic deteriated with multiple cracks in multiple direction) essentially unfixable. Couldnt get replacement part (as only for radiator repairers only). Ended finding a bargain (all alloy) new radiator with cap (double row). I installed this already (saved me buying a new top hose which i originally thought the problem was).
Yesterday My brothers CD accord will be up for inspection so i changed a parker light (fuc*er of a thing to remove as it was super tight in its bayonet connection, scary due to being plastic anticipating it would be a little brittle now and no leverage to pull it), expensive to buy new and as second hand too.
Also changed his fuel filter also (what a hard thing to service!!) All the way down there near the fire wall without any vision or space to place 2 wrenches to remove the bottom fuel pipe (one to hold the cannister and another to turn the fuel line bolt). In short i did do it and can do it better next time but boy its harder than working on a 3rd gen prelude, 4th Gen Accord or CRX Delsol where the fuel filter is easy reach and both inlet and outlet connections for the fuel filter are on top!

I have been visiting my mates at the jy too to check and collect parts (both required, back up and interesting rare parts).
In one visit I managed to see they had a JDM US made accord (no hit but parting it out). I managed get the jdm bumper for my jdm CB (complete with fogs, lips, lenses, reinforcements) with exactly the same colour as mine (so bolt on replacement no painting required in event of accident) as well as US eagles, centre console, sony after market stereo but with steering wheel remote, 3x window rain guards missing driver side, airbag replacement, headlights, grille and JDM climate control panel all in one hit!! I know them so they said go get what you want. It was a good memorable day!
They are so kind to me as i bought the JDM CB7 (with frontal damage) and not only did they sell it to me for cost (price they bought it for at the auction), they held if for me for 8 months (the first 6 without me giving a $1 as down payment) in their lot! and they threw in all the parts i need to fix it up also! So in effect i bought a damage free accord...lol
Those guys are rare to find in a car and wrecking business when they are usually all about $$ and tell you to get going if you even try to bargain with them.
Sorry for the rant and brag but got carried away. I guess im thankful someone is looking after me even thought i forget at times... : )
