yes i am..but i have the 350d. i try uploading the firmware but it doesn't read my camera that IT IS connected..

I'm pretty sure the firmware hack is only used for the 300D ..
That could be the problem ..

yeah, maybe. but oh well, i'm happy with the way my rebel is set-up alreaddy. wouldn't want to go out of the way and get used to a bunch of new settings. thanks though tomi!

yeah actually the 350d and 20d share a sensor... the 20d just has more features... im trying to get one soon and maye even a 5d

yeah i am picking up a 300d asap lol just as a second body for events its really a good thing to have two bodies when shooting events as tomi will tell u...

One can never have enough extra doo dads, like PC cords, batteries, or even a spare body!
Weddings are famous for faliures of any and all sorts!

I went thru 4 PC cords during one Wedding!
Thats the scary thing about digital .. soooo many things that can go wrong, whereas ..
I've never had an issue with any of my film cameras .. (have'nt had any with my digi's yet either)
but the digitals just have so much more to them .. and when you have that much more,
errr, the more you have to go wrong ..

I've been watching friends XTi's, 20D's, 30D's, and even some 5D's sputter and spit.
I'd cringe if I spent the kina money one needs to for a 5D, and have it fail ..

The 300D for all general purposes .. and giggles, has been like "Old faithful" ..

Ok, enough talk about failures ..lol .. but yeah, an extra of everything .. is always a good thng.

Well i went and bought a tripod from radioshack....for use with my digicam and camcorder...

I also went into Wolf Cameras and played with the Xt.....OMG i want one so bad lol.

They dont have any 300D's so it looks like ill be just waiting till i have the money....i figure in a year when i have the money i should be able to get a good deal on one of the two...

but im skeptical about spending money on one of these off of ebay...

so i guess well see.

Oh yea, i do what i can when i have time. Ive been busy lately and its only getting worse as i prepare to leave Active service W00t!
