yeah. i paid $700 at best buy for the body and 18-55mm lens together. I probably could have got more on ebay for the same price..but the instant gratification, and knowing exactly what im getting was worth it.

agreed light meters are always getting confused as all they do is read the amount of light directly in front of the meter so if ur exposing for a darker detail in the corner u should aim the camera at the object and meter for that.....
the A80 as any other camera can expose for the sky and on a bright day it is very difficult to get the exposure for both highlight areas and for shadow detail......
as someone else stated i believe your whitebalance is off.
