Finally got a respectable Camera

    I suggested the 50mm because it is available for ~$100 while the 35mm is $200. The 35mm on a crop body will give you the "classic" field of view you would typically see with a 50mm on a 35mm film or full frame digital camera, as Chris explained earlier.

    It's a money thing, most people that are just getting into it would do much better spending less money at the beginning and actually learning concepts and practicing the art.

      Nice photo's. i see you also like taking pictures of traffic to get the light trails. all i have is a point and shoot but would like to have a camera like yours some day with some nice lenses. I think with a camera like that i could get some really nice pictures. even with a point and shoot i get lots of compliments on my pictures. I also need to get myself a tripod that would work, not only with this camera, but also whatever camera i get next.
