    I need a Camera

I was looking into buying a camera. I need a very solid high quality camera and was wondering whats the best one out there that's affordable that is. I'd say within maybe $350 bucks I would really like to find a camera for a lot cheaper but these days it's not so easy, or anything that can meet my standards.

Give the best for both film and digital.

    My Standards:
    - Looking for the best picture quality HD quality
    - Durability but very easy to carry
    - outstanding performance
    - great focus speed
    - easy to take photos
    - Overall a solid camera for a affordable price

    Thanks

Kodak sells refurbished cameras for a pretty fair price, maybe you should check them out.

Have you thought about a used camera?
You could get a used Canon Rebel Xt, Canon 10d, or Nikon D40 for your price range.
                    All three very capable cameras.

Used camera is the way to go, search local craigslist so you can check the camera before purchase!

I wont plug one brand over another.
Go to a store and try out DSLR's from Canon, Nikon, Sony, Olympus?,...
Then go on craigslist, ebay, or photo forums and search for used gear of the brand that you like the setup of better.
I prefer Canon's system of functions and lens/accesories.
The biggest regret I have when it comes to photography is buying my Xti kit brand new in June 08' for way too much money.
Dont make the same mistake that I did.
