Help with understanding lens magnifications...

Hi, I was wondering if anyone would be able to help me out. I have a normal digital camera (non SLR), and I just recently purchased a wide angle lens that was made for my camera (Schneider Kreuznach). This lense says it is a 0.7x wide angle lens, and I do notice quite a big difference compared to not having the lens attached. My question is, I am looking at buying another wide angle lens, and the one I'm considering says its a 0.25x wide angle lens, so I was wondering if this will give a greater field of view than the one I already have or not. Any help would be great! Thanks.
