I know that feeling. It's difficult trying to combat all the bumps and rattles.

Out of curiosity, what trans is that?

It is a t2w4 lsd with an accord 5th gear swap.

I wanted to know how does you car handle with the type ones and the traction bar?

Thats the M2S4 that came out of the car. The T2W4 was only 1lb heavier. The FF1's and traction bar work well but I think I want to swap to 10k's in the front.

appreciate it bro. up to nothing other than the job and my kids. last time i toyed with the cb7 was taking my son out to the backroad and wore my old tires the rest of the way down. he likes burnouts, lol. got some new tires on and tested the 0-60. at a solid 6.6sec despite having to shift to 3rd to get it.

know I don't really share much on my audio in my Betsy. I've updated a few things and started looking at maybe replacing my subwoofer aswell but after using WinISD pro decided to keep it and bump up the power.

                    Deck: Pioneer DEH-80PRS
                    Mids/Highs: Pioneer TS-D1730c front & rear
                    Subwoofer: Pioneer TS-W2501D4
                    Atrend Bbox E10SV
                    Power: NVX MVPA4 mids/highs
                    Rockford Fosgate R750.1D sub

here is my pioneer vs some of the top sundown subs at rated rms

My current box is too small at .85ft^3 and at 530w rms its a bit under powered next to my mids and highs at 97w rms each. My plan is to build a 1.31ft^3 enclosure and get a CT-sounds 1400.1D for the power. Here's my box I designed, I'll be building it from 3/4" birch.

Here's my lil 10" sub at work.

Underpowered? 500w seems like plenty, unless you just want more, which is never a bad thing

What's your tuning? You may benefit more from another 10, vs feeding this one more power.

Currently the prefab box is 39hz. It needs to be lower and it needs more port area. It huffs a little but its in the trunk so you don't notice it. Sometimes less is more. I used to have 2 10's. Im not willing to add the weight or sacrifice the space for the proper box volume to run two. My current box is mdf and kinda heavy. With the new box being birch it will weigh slightly less and only take up a few inches more space side to side. Adding another sub will mean less than 4db if properly supported (ie: enclosure, port and power) and add alot of weight on top of me not being able to source another matching sub. this sub will take 800w all day which will add another 2db from power increase alone and 1db from the enclosure. That should be enough for me.

Yeah, I just searched ebay for that sub...no matches. I agree with the less is more approach. I was wondering if you were approaching the power compression range with that much.

I forget about weight savings when it comes to audio sometimes. lol All valid points.

I think anything over 2 10" subs, maybe. I wont have that problem with one 10" sub on 2000w rms or less. For sound quality, this sub has been great. It will play clean all the way up and can reach 125db musically. As for spl bump I've seen 129db. I may swap to a sundown zv4 10" on the ct sounds AT1400.1D if this one ever craps out or I put this in something else.

It only took me about a week of careful reading to read your MRT. I skimmed through it a few times a few years back. So much great info in here. Props to you sir for your dedication to the cb7 chassis and the non vtec hybrids you've completed.

I just picked up a. F23 short block from the junk yard for $92. Accord had about 87k and had been t boned. The engine bay was so clean and so was the engine. I tore it down to get just the short block and it was very clean looking. The block itself didn't even really have any oil/dirt build up.

The plan is to mate it to a m2a4 I got for $40 bucks that I'm currently also rebuilding.
After reading all your info I may just copy some of your stuff because it's tried and proven along with dyno graphs.

It'll be going in my cb7 once it's all done. Unless I really like it enough to throw in my “race car". I've built and rebuilt my lsvtec I have in my 4dr Integra a few times basically doing the same thing you did with the f series. How ever all the stuff I've done is common stuff b series builds should have. It just took me quite a bit of time and trial and error to get it where it's at right now. Currently it's not 100% done with my new set up/changes but it's getting there. My last set up made up of all OEM parts put down 180/125 with out a tune just a base map
I also made some changes to the transmission I had as well. would like to finish it before starting the f build.

just to show im still at it, just received my new hardweld. decided to break it in and drive around since it takes less than 30mins to install.

just for reference this is the cam i pulled out.

both idles are 1000rpm. my plan is to get a majority of the tuning completed on the f22b bottom end so that i can take my time breaking in my 2.3 this time. im going to do a 11:1 f23 bottom end. with the displacement and compression it shouldnt lope this much but i figured id share it while it does, lol.
