If you get another header cut and welded make sure the guy has the flange bolted to a head or something cause the one you sold me won't bolt to the head cause it bows pretty bad( doesn't sit flat) so it's kinda worthless right now. It sits like this against the head |(.
The flat piece being the head and the quotation mark being the header. |(

looking into a set of race engineering house brand rods and i think i might go with custom wiseco pistons this time. i cant help but to build one last f-series for betsy before i retire it's building days. im replacing it as my dd this upcoming year with a 03-07 accord coupe. ive finally decided to play the k-series game. it's much easier to start with a k-series car and mod it. tax check should be in the low 7k range this year and the new car should be in the high 4k range with a base model. im pretty sure i can get a custom cam, rods, pistons, gaskets and just maybe that t2w4 ive been wanting for 3kish.

Are you still planning on selling head/block/turn key builds?

I like the styling of those gen accords. Are you going to aim to lower it's weight? They feel quite a bit heavier than our cb's, though, i've never driven the v6 model.

believe it or not the new coupes with k24's weigh in at a little over 200lbs more. from my experience it only takes roughly 15whp to make up for a 200lb difference in weight. the k24 will be more than capable of that.

Gotcha. Though, I was referring to the feel of the car when handling.

I've learned over time that I prefer heavier cars for road trips but I only like lighter cars for daily driving.

been doing some tuning. got mpg's going up. did a compression check just to make sure it was still ok, roughly 215psi across the board.

havent got my hands on the type-s but i'm sure there will be slight battery fitment issues.
got some good info for you guys regarding if ground wires and power wires matter. these were less than 15 mins apart with no changes other than running 0awg wire with a 150amp fuse from the alternator to the battery, from the alternator case to the engine block ground with 0awg, from the engine block ground to the negative post on the battery with 0awg and from there to the chassis with 4awg using all ofc wire, notice how it increased power up top and during peak torque. this is the most demanding times for the ignition system and with a better charging/grounding system you can see some inprovements in power. the big three upgrade isnt just for stereo heads, lol.

yah. those wires are rated for 80amps at 14.4v and that was 20+yrs ago. most accords charge at 13.8v when hot meaning its losing probably 5-10amps charging capabilities and this is when the wire was new. after 20+yrs the resistance is only going to increase. before I did this mine dropped to 12.9 with the a/c on and that's with the idle set at 1100rpm. add my hids and it'd drop to 12.5. now its at 14.0-14.1v.

Nice, man! Thanks for the data!

I have wire to do the big three but i completely forgot about it. Gonna change them out this weekend. Hopefully it'll help my dim headlights.

No problem, it's what I'm here for, lol. All I do is research and test cheap power mods. Rods are on the way and I should be ordering the pistons soon for my next f23.
