Every post you got surprises and amazes me of the potential of the F.

I got a question that you probably do not get asked about your car too much, with your 92/93 bumper and 90/91 headlights, how do you keep the bumper gap/sag so small?

actually it used to have no sag until a guy ran a stop sign and clipped it, lol. the best way i found was to loosen the bumper bolts and have someone push it straight up and hold it while i tightened the bolts back down. then i just gently tapped the headlight bucket with a rubber mallet with the headlights out. then when i put them in i put thin washers on top of the headlights, in between the bucket and the headlight, where the bolts go in. when i get a chance to go back we need to lean it back out some, its 12.6 AFR at WOT with 23deg timing. it usually makes its best power at 25deg timing and 13-12.9 AFR. it should make another 4-5whp and another 2-3wtq. i may even go ahead and drop the balance shaft belt but idk, we'll just have to see how my thirst for power grows over the next few weeks, lol.

I liked the first one better the plume of oil was pretty cool as well, I thought only H22's did that.

Anyways, I bought a Jones glasspack muffler from Summit for a great deal. Its not perforated like my Magnaflow one, its one of those "louvered core" types and looks like this:

I was surprised at this. I wanna know now if this good at muffling and which way do I install it, with the smooth side against the flow or with the open side? Pretty sure its smooth side cause you don't want it to slow it down too much.

Can we see a 0-60 video? That'd be cool too. Just be careful out there.

0-60 in about 6.5sec, not bad for almost a full tank and a heavy ass in the passenger seat, lol. at about 3105lbs she still moves, lol. it moves at 4sec and hits 60 at about 10.5sec

pulled the cams back out of the dohc head, sending them out to get reground to my custom specs along with my F22A6 spare cam. im hoping to pick up another F23 bottom end and F22A6 head. that way i'll have the 2.2 and two 2.3 f-series, one dohc one sohc. now all i need is another bisimoto header, lol.

Thanks bro. It'll do better after a retune and maybe a balance shaft delete.

When you get that F23 bottom end, which of the three engines is going in your white coupe?

probably the built sohc with 11.6:1 and my custom ground cam behind the t2w4. then the stock f23 bottom with the other a6 head in betsy and finally the dohc for my girl. she's looking into getting a 94-95 sedan for her dd so the dohc will be her weapon of choice.

I've been gone way too long... I need a quick breakdown of the past 2 months to catch me up.

Pulled the f23 bottom to build it, dropped in f22b dohc bottom end in the mean time, picked up a junk f23 bottom end. So now I have two F23 bottom ends and a f22b dohc bottom end, two f22a6 heads and a dohc f22 head. One of the f23 bottom ends has a spun rod bearing the other is the one I pulled to build.

i've also been hard at work with this lil guy.

it's basically the same thing as the head im running now with the exception of a port job and this head is milled .045". by my calculations this setup is 10.3:1 compression and should be at a minimum in the 210-215whp range on pump gas through the exhaust and who knows open header with E85.

and bought another one of these so it's fresh.

cheaper than i thought, all the rebuild stuff was $400 and the cylinder head stuff was about $750. now im waiting on head studs but they should be here by this afternoon and since im off tomorrow ill be pulling an all nighter and putting it together then swapping it over on Saturday then swap back to my old tune for the f23 bottom. by my calculations this setup is 10.3:1 compression and should be at a minimum in the 210-215whp range on pump gas through the exhaust and who knows open header with E85. wish me luck.
