Hey accorn, do you know if the internals of the JDM MP1A are the same as the USDM MP1A? what are the differences? I'm asking because the shop i want to have rebuild it wants to know if the clutchpacks and gears are identical, or would they have to find the parts from JDM Honda stuff. Is the only thing different the larger casing to fit the different differential?

The drum, seals, filter and clutch packs should be the same.

That's an awesome goal. But bro, Bisi's Engineering background is in fluid dynamics. If you top that goal you gonna get national coverage.

I don't have to beat bisi. I just want fastest n/a f2X in a CB7 chassis. A f series in a 1700lb chassis with 415whp+ is pretty tough to beat. It also runs on methonol and behind a dogbox d series trans which those two alone are good for a 5-10% gain in hp plus the 5% reduction in parasitic loss through the drivetrain. So on E85+toluene through a t2w4 trans built up that same engine would be about 374whp. I'll low ball mine to be making 340whp which would put a drag prepped 2300lb car in the low 11's with a good 60ft, ie sub 1.6sec.

Lol, it sucks to have the knowledge to build a low 11sec all motor CB7 and no funds to make it happen.

Honestly I would say having the knowledge is way more important than having the funds. With due time you will have the funds.

why is it that due time feels like doing time, lol. itll happen though. the plan is to setup the chassis for 10's first. then i can spread the engine over a 3 year span.

Got a 70mm skunk2 throttle body. Also I found out my valves have been a little out of adjustment this whole time, lol. It made 201whp with the lash at .011in/.014ex and it should be .009"in/.011"ex. Also I've got a bad exhaust leak that might be robbing a pony or two.

I just got done doing valve lash... First time in nearly 300k miles and the engines been on the stand for 6 months. I had to use a butane torch and wd40 just to get the screws to turn. Everything's butter now. Just gotta finish assembly and drop the hog in.

I have mine set to .009in/.010ex. I set them to this after installing my bisi level 2 cam. I still have my cam gear set to 0. I waiting to tune everything once after my exhaust is in. It's only a matter of time bro.

Im waiting to see you build your next motor. Im going to keep my cb with the f series motor because your build thread showed me that it can produce the power without forced induction. I have so far a f22a head and a bare block honed waiting for parts

After i buy a couple more guns and several thousand rounds of ammo i plan on buying more car parts. Id like to use an f23 block and somewhere around 11:1 compression pistons. Then ill send the head out to get worked over real good. Id be more than satisfied with 230-240whp.
